Dahlia Tuber Sale Information and Policies:

Sale items are individual tubers, not clusters or "clumps" of tubers. We have taken great care to select viable, disease-free dahlia tubers, observing them daily for several weeks as they come out of dormancy. We use organic growing methods and sanitary best practices throughout the growing season, from planting and pruning, to cut flowers and end-of-season division and overwinter storage. At each step, cutting tools are sanitized before beginning work on another dahlia plant.

There is natural variation in tuber size and characteristics. Some are smaller than others. Some are firmer, some are softer. Some are narrow, some are chubby. Some may look a bit wrinkled. We pledge that each tuber we ship will show a viable "eye" and be free of visible disease. All tubers sold are from our verified plants from the prior season, organically grown using an integrated pest management system. We do not re-sell tubers from other growers or vendors.

In the event that you have questions or concerns about your tubers when they arrive, please contact us within two days of delivery using email address:  blooms@rivercityartandgarden.com. Tuber sales are final at the time of purchase. We are not responsible for carrier damage or inclement weather effects during shipping. However, there is a thing called "human error" and we will always work with you to make things right if errors do occur.

SHIPPING: And there is a thing called "weather"! River City Blooms is in West Michigan, and the intention is to ship your tuber(s) to you by mid-May as our weather stabilizes. We'll check the weather where you live, too, before shipping. To be safe, temperatures not lower than 40 degrees would be an ideal indicator for shipping tubers to you.
